Work process

How I work on projects

Story

First, I find the core message that wants to be conveyed.  As with any good story, we first find our ending so that we know to where we’re headed.  This avoids aimlessly wandering without a destination.  Then, we outline the  beginning and middle of the project.

Design

Whether it’s an outline with notes, designing a rough mock-up, or sketching out  storyboards, this is when we conceptualize the project.  I then begin gathering as many resources as possible and start building out the foundation of the piece.

Development

This is where the hours of hard work and trial and error begin.  I do my absolute best to actively and openly communicate with clients as projects evolve.  The client is always involved in the development; every step of the way.

Quality check

First draft, second draft, or even a third!  If something needs changed or added, it gets done.  Whenever possible, I try to go through an approval process wherein my projects are first reviewed by a third party whenever possible and then shared with the client to check for any additional wants or needs before finalization.

What I do

Storytelling

Whether in business or art, Story has deeply ingrained roots in psychology and the subconscious. It is one of the primary focuses of my work. Good marketing requires engaging, meaningful, inspiring stories.

Web Design

A user/client base is arguably the most important aspect of business, with the second being profits. If users have a bad or unintuitive experience, it can negatively impact your engagement levels and sales. The design and layout of web elements are critical to success.

Traditional Media

Radio, television, print, and billboards -
I've worked with them all. These mediums may seem old-fashioned, but they can account for the entirety of advertising budgets and can often be overlooked.

Marketing

We've all seen a good design, but have you seen bad design? It sticks out like a sore thumb and can attract the wrong kinds of attention. With great marketing design, your brand can shine the way you always wanted. It can also leave a very lasting impression.
I've spent the better part of the last 6 years working extensively in digital advertising, helping companies to grow their business.

Writing

Striving for beautiful metaphors, authentic dialogue, and interesting characters aren't enough to move audiences with writing. You must ignite the brain's hardwired desire to learn what will happen next. When good writing electrifies curiosity, it triggers a dopamine rush that makes us pay attention.

Project Management

I have worked on projects both big and small; from collaborating with freelancers and Youtubers, to managing multiple teams simultaneously across the U.S., to working with worldwide brands and international corporations.
I love opportunities to scale projects and to meet the needs of clients.
